MobilityWorks® and Vantage Mobility Int’l Celebrate Winner of Driving Forward Together Sweepstake
Clermont, FL (October 18, 2019) – MobilityWorks in Clermont, in conjunction with Vantage Mobility International (VMI), a leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles, is pleased to announce the winner of the “Driving Forward Together Sweepstake” is Mike Fritz of Mount Dora, FL. As the winner of this national sweepstake, Fritz and his family won $12,000 toward a Verge™ II E conversion package on his newly purchased Dodge Grand Caravan, which makes the minivan wheelchair accessible.
Mike Fritz and his wife, Sandra, purchased the used VMI Dodge Grand Caravan from their local MobilityWorks mobility equipment supplier in Clermont for two reasons: Sandra uses a scooter and a walker, and their daughter MacKenzie uses a wheelchair. That makes travel a difficult, time-consuming challenge every time they want to leave the house.
The Verge™ II E conversion package lowers the floor of the minivan and adds an in-floor, rear entry ramp so Fritz’s wife and daughter can access the vehicle without exiting their wheelchair or scooter. This conversion provides generous space for everyone, a comfortable ride and safety mechanisms. The package also makes the front seat removable for flexible seating options.
“When Mike entered VMI’s Driving Forward Together Sweepstake the first day it opened back in January, I never thought we would win,” said Sandra Fritz. “So, when I picked up the phone and heard they selected his name I started crying with joy because Mike has always worked so hard to take care of our family.”
“This conversion package makes everything so much easier for our entire family and I am grateful to both MobilityWorks and VMI,” said Mike Fritz.
“Our focus has always been to enable people who use wheelchairs to go where they want to go and do what they want to do,” said Chris Paczak, Chief Marketing Officer at MobilityWorks. “We are so happy for Mike, Sandra and MacKenzie, and we are proud to be a part of the VMI family that supports our mission for accessibility for all.”
“VMI is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve greater independence through mobility options,” said Charlie Treadwell, Chief Revenue Officer at VMI. “This sweepstake creates opportunities for families like the Fritz’s to benefit from a mobility solution that fits their needs.”
