PHOENIX, Ariz. – Oct. 22, 2013 – Vantage Mobility International (VMI) will sponsor the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual BBQ and Reunion in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Miracle League of Arizona. The event is an opportunity for MDA families, campers and camp counselors to enjoy a fun-filled evening with great food and adaptive baseball. VMI is supporting the event financially with a $5,000 donation as well volunteer support to help during the event.

“VMI has supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association since 2002,” said Monique McGivney, director of corporate communication at VMI. “VMI is more than just a company that builds great mobility products. The MDA annual BBQ dinner is a great way for our team to be involved in our local community and support people with disabilities.”
MDA is the world’s leading nonprofit health organization sponsoring research seeking causes and effective treatments for neuromuscular diseases. MDA maintains a network of 200 specialized clinics across the United States. Most MDA clinics are located in teaching hospitals, and many MDA clinic directors are university medical school professors as well as practicing physicians. MDA clinics are at the forefront of research and treatment methods; some clinics also serve as sites for clinical trials of the latest experimental therapies. Their annual BBQ and Reunion is a chance for families, campers and camp counselors in association with MDA to reunite over baseball, food and fun.
